About Rhona Petticrew
I am a graduate of The University of Strathclyde and a Registered Senior Accredited Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I abide by the BACP Code of Standards and Ethics to ensure safe practice and I am a trained Supervisor, supporting the work of other therapists and healthcare practitioners.
I also hold advanced professional qualifications in Relational Therapy ( couples and families ) and I’ve trained as a Critical Incident de-Briefer; working with individuals and groups who have experienced trauma ( PTSD )
I have worked in Private Practice for over 15 years, covering a wide variety of issues.
My core training is in the Rogerian or Person Centred Approach. I also work integratively, employing elements of Cognitive Behavioural and Psychodynamic models where appropriate to client needs.
It is mandatory for qualified therapists to be supervised throughout their careers, in the UK, to ensure the highest standards of practice and safety. I receive monthly supervision.
